The third section of the Hebrew Bible (after the Law and the Prophets) is simply called "Writings". It contains a variety of material:
Songs: worship songs in Psalms, lament in Lamentations and love songs in Song of Songs
Wisdom literature: in Job, Proverbs and Qoheleth (Ecclesiastes)
History: Esra, Nehemiah and Chronicles
Short stories: Ruth and Esther
Apocalyptic: Daniel
