הפך hapak "turn or transform". The word occurs in Amos at 4:11; 5:7. 8; 6:12; 8:10. Use of this word in 5:7 & its repetition in v.8 makes a link between the hymn fragment which otherwise might seem to intrude and the material which precedes it.
